About the Director
Dana Lowery Burress is no stranger to the pageant world. She has held numerous titles and competed in the Miss Georgia Pageant, a preliminary to Miss America, four times. She has been trained in vocal performance, ballet, lyrical, jazz, and gymnastics. Dana has competed and performed with numerous people that have gone on to be quiet famous including, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Brooke Anderson of Entertainment Tonight, Nikki Deloach of MTV's Awkward, and Jennifer Ford Turner, wife of country music star Josh Turner, just to name a few.
Dana attended the University of Georgia and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, as well as her Masters of Education. Dana also holds an Education Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Georgia Southern University. Dana has served on the State of Georgia School Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Committee, been nominated as Georgia Economic Teacher of the Year, and has been asked to serve on the board for the Georgia Association of Economic Educators.
Dana hopes to continue to provide girls an opportunity to participate in a fun and stress free pageant environment while growing in poise and confidence. Dana is a certified Miss America judge and wants to give middle Georgia girls a stage to perfect their skills so they can achieve their goals in pageantry.
